Home Automation: What is it?

With the acquisition of Nest Labs earlier this month by Google for $3.2 billion, the concept of the automated home is something I feel that needs to be re-evaluated. The automated home is an idea that has been around for many years, but with the recent advances in technology, it could be viable in the future.

Sorry we’ve been gone for awhile; I’m afraid all three of us have been busy with uni, exams and so on - they have taken priority over Pantherum unfortunately. But with everything done and dusted, we are ready to get back on the grind; back to what we love. With all the chit chat outta the way, let’s get this show on the road.

The Pains of "Convenient" Internet Banking

Hey all, so some people have been wondering why I wasn't able to post last week. The thing is, I have been busy keeping up with my course and it got a bit too hectic last week. I just wanted to reassure anyone reading this. That I do have a commitment to writing this blog, but things are going to get more complicated coming up to December when I have exams. So please bear with me, if I am not able to post anything for a week. With that done, onto my topic of the week.

So it’s that time of year again, when Apple rumours have started to bubble to the surface regarding what new devices they will be announcing this year - specifically tomorrow. The announcement will draw the attention of the world as everyone will look to Apple to see what “innovations” they have decided to claim for themselves. This year, I have decided to break down these rumours to see how likely they are to be true and to really expose what “innovation” Apple has to offer us.

Why the Playstation 4 is a more appealing console

The war is on for the next generation of gaming consoles. On one side, we have the Japanese behemoth conglomerate known as, Sony, and on the other, Microsoft, the American tech giant who has dominated the home computer scene for the last three decades. This year has seen the announcement of new consoles from both sides, which has resulted in an endless set of conferences, trailers and announcements. As a gamer, I love the fact that both sides have been firing shots at one another and this tasty affair makes for an interesting duel.
